Cookie Policy
Last updated
This Cookie Policy explains how Spellbinder LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company ("Spellbinder," "we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies, including browser storage such as local storage, when you use Spellbinder's website, applications, content, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, SDKs, and other tools that help websites remember information, keep users signed in, support features, or measure performance.
In this Cookie Policy, we use "cookies" as a shorthand for cookies and similar technologies unless we say otherwise.
2. How we use cookies
Spellbinder uses cookies and similar technologies for a limited set of purposes:
Essential authentication and security
We use cookies and related storage to:
- keep you signed in;
- maintain secure sessions;
- support account authentication flows;
- help prevent abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.
These technologies are necessary for account features and core site security.
Functional preferences
We may use browser storage, including local storage and session storage, to remember interface and product preferences, such as:
- theme preference;
- table or column visibility settings;
- certain search, filter, or view preferences;
- some temporary state used during authentication or account-linking flows;
- temporary redirect state during sign-in or sign-out flows;
- other user interface preferences that improve usability.
Operational diagnostics
Spellbinder may also collect operational logs, diagnostics, and limited technical signals to monitor reliability, troubleshoot problems, and protect the Service. Some of this information is processed server-side and may not involve storing a cookie in your browser.
Non-essential analytics and advertising
As of March 23, 2026, Spellbinder does not intentionally use non-essential analytics cookies, third-party advertising cookies, or cross-site behavioral advertising profiles. If that changes, we intend to update this Cookie Policy and provide any notice or consent mechanism required by applicable law.
3. Third-party cookies and similar technologies
Some third parties may set or read their own cookies or similar technologies when you interact with their services through Spellbinder or after you leave Spellbinder, including:
- Supabase, which we use to support account authentication, secure sessions, and related account functionality. For more information about how Supabase handles data, see the Supabase Privacy Policy;
- authentication providers such as Google or Discord, especially during third-party sign-in or account-linking flows;
- external websites you visit after clicking outbound links, including retailer or marketplace links.
Some service providers we use for storage, email delivery, hosting, infrastructure, or security may process IP addresses, request metadata, or similar technical information without placing their own browser cookies on your device. Those providers control their own practices, so their policies also apply.
4. Managing cookies
You can usually control cookies and similar technologies through your browser or device settings. Depending on your browser, you may be able to:
- block or delete cookies;
- clear local storage or site data;
- set preferences for individual sites;
- receive alerts before certain cookies are stored.
Please note that blocking essential cookies or clearing related storage may prevent parts of Spellbinder from working correctly, especially sign-in, account management, and saved preferences.
If we begin using non-essential cookies in a way that requires consent under applicable law, we intend to provide appropriate notice and consent controls at that time.
5. Browser privacy signals
Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" or similar privacy settings. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to those signals, Spellbinder does not currently respond differently based solely on a Do Not Track signal.
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
